we made the caramel for the banoffee pie by:
we boiled a can of condensed milk for two and a half hours, and making sure that the tin stayed covered completely so that we didn't have to clean the ceiling. we could have bought it ready made but is doesn't taste as nice.

  1. Two and a half hours! Wow! That must be why mine didn't come out well. I followed the instructions but it was only a short boiling time.
