Yesterday I made some Anzac biscuits. You made them by mixing 1 cup of sugar, oats, self-raising flour and a cup of desiccated coconut together in a bowl. In a large pan melt together 4oz of margarine and 2 tablespoons of golden syrup then when you are ready add in a mixture of 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda dissolved in a tablespoon of boiling water. The mixture will froth now pour the dry bowl into the pan mix thoroughly. Leave to cool for five minutes and then roll the mix in to balls and cook on a greased and floured baking tray and cook in the over at 150 fan for 10 -15 minutes or until golden brown. They should be soft and have flattened out on to large round biscuits. Leave to cool and harden and enjoy with a cup of milk.
